We open our Summer season with two plays from Call-Back Theatre company, the company who also produced ‘Fred & Alice’ and ‘Set in Stone’.

“If you hear a loud bang on bonfire night do you think it’s a firework…. or a gun going off?”

A pair of darkly comic gems… ‘Arsehammers’ – a child is sure that their grandfather’s strange disappearances reveal supernatural powers and ‘Bonfire Night’ – a devoted daughter, whose mother’s hip operation sets off a chain of events that leads her to becoming the world’s most unlikely assassin. Both pieces have characters who are perfectly ordinary and yet completely extraordinary and there is a wicked, underlying sense of humour.

Starring Cora Fenton, who was most recently seen in ‘Fred & Alice’, ‘Mary Motorhead’ and TV3’s ‘Deception’.

Directed by John Sheehy. John was writer and director of ‘Fred & Alice’ and ‘Set in Stone’ and is Writer in Residence at Friars’ Gate Theatre.
