Camden Palace Hotel new space – 28th of April
Camden Palace Hotel invites everyone to the launch of their new space at 9 John Redmond Street from 6pm on Thursday the 28th of April 2016
Camden Palace has been providing space for Artists since 2009 on the Camden Quay but since its enforced closure in December 2015 – Due to the sale of the building, the organisation had been forced to seek alternatives.
Camden Palace was provided contact earlier this year with the owners of 9 John Redmond Street that is only a short walk from the former Camden Palace building. We would like to thank the J & K group for providing the space to make what is happening now possible.
It is also very important for us to express our gratitude to the Artists, volunteers, supporters & friends both past & present for their hard work and help in building & maintaining our Camden Palace community.
This new city centre space is a transitory one for us, meaning the quest for a permanent home is still ongoing and that we are still appealing with for help.
None the less, there is a worthy amount of time that has been made available for Camden Palace to create, produce and facilitate in this fantastic new location.
To start, this Thursday the 28th of April will see the opening of ‘Eclectic’ -The first Art exhibition in Camden Palace’s new location where recent works of realistic sceneries & surreal interpretations by Cork based Artist, William Best will be presented. This exhibition is running at the New Camden Palace until the 14th of May.
There will be refreshments & live music provided on the night by local talents, Tom Jordan & Crojayn.
This is also an invited opportunity for people to see the new studios made available.
